GLOBAL PROTEST DAY PILES PRESSURE ON P&G

Once again, activists across the globe joined together on 24 May 2003 for the seventh annual day of protest to promote the Global Boycott of Procter & Gamble.

Boycotting P&G in Sheffield

Over a hundred different actions took place in a growing international movement against the animal-testing corporation.

P&G, one of the world's largest consumer product companies, have been branded the "world's worst" corporation for their continued poisoning and killing of animals in the development of new cosmetics and toiletries.

The company has also secretly lobbied Governments to try to frustrate the public's demands for an end to such cruelty.

Uncaged Campaigns led the way with protests in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Sheffield (see picture above), which gained excellent regional news coverage in papers and on TV and radio. Click here for information about how you can tackle P&G's greed-driven animal abuse.

Remember, once a company as huge as P&G changes policy, other companies will come under enormous pressure to also cease animal testing.
