Action Diary - you can help!

Uncaged in action!Double Your Income... of Happiness!

Did you know that volunteering your time to help worthwhile causes can increase your level of happiness more than doubling your income?

We have an action-packed diary of events and we need all the practical help and support that you can give.

Your participation is a vital part of our campaigns to protect animals. If you would like to help Uncaged with any of the following events, please give us a call or send an email and we will send you further information, or put you in touch with someone in your local area who is actively supporting our campaign work.

LOCAL STREET COLLECTIONS & CAMPAIGN STALLS

We have booked dozens of street collections across the UK throughout the year. We rely on the success of these in order to fund our campaigns against vivisection and other forms of animal cruelty. They are vital to our campaigns, as public awareness and support - in addition to funding - is essential to tackling vivisection. They are also great opportunities to raise awareness about animal testing and cruelty-free shopping. Conducting an anti-vivisection campaign stall, with petitions and leaflets, as well as collection tins on the table, greatly increases the amount of funds you're likely to raise on the day.

For a full list of the street collections, and to help, please email Max Newton.

ANNUAL LONDON WIDE STREET COLLECTION
Saturday 19th July 2008

On this day Uncaged Campaigns has sole permission to collect in the Greater London area (roughly anywhere within the M25). This once-a-year date is a fantastic opportunity to raise vital campaign funds for Uncaged and to inform the public of the truth about vivisection. Please help us maximise this opportunity by 'shaking a tin' or, better still, holding a campaign stall in conjunction with the collection. Stalls provide a focus for the collection and greatly increase the amount of money collected.

International Animal Rights DayGLOBAL BOYCOTT PROCTER & GAMBLE DAY XII
Saturday 17th May 2008

The twelfth anniversary of Boycott P&G Day. We need your help as we strive to increase the pressure on P&G to change their cruel animal testing practices.

Millions of people use P&G products everyday unaware that the company still conducts lethal animal tests to develop new cosmetic & household products and chemical ingredients.

Yet polls reveal most consumers would switch to a cruelty-free company if only they had the necessary information. Everyone has a vital role to play in informing consumers about P&G's animal testing, and the hundreds of cruelty-free alternatives available.

The 11th anniversary of the Day of Action in 2007 saw over 140 Boycott P&G actions taking place all around the world - click here for the report and photos. Again, we will co-ordinate events around the globe to inform the public about P&G's animal testing. We can help you to organise: protests at P&G sites; information/protest events at supermarkets; town centre information stalls; distribution of leaflets; and conduct letter-writing blitzes etc. Click here for a guide to making your voice heard on Global Boycott P&G Day XI (Word format).

International Animal Rights DayINTERNATIONAL ANIMAL RIGHTS DAY
10th December 2008

International Animal Rights Day (IARD) is when animal advocates around the world conduct candlelit vigils and campaign stalls to remember all the animals harmed and killed by humans, to call for the recognition of the Universal Declaration of Animals' Rights, and demonstrate to the public and media that 'animal rights' is about rational and well thought-out ethical principles.

Each animal protection campaign is strengthened by the unity of being under a global banner in solidarity with hundreds of thousands of caring people all over the world. In previous years, vigils have taken place at very diverse locations, including: vivisection facilities, circuses, butchers, abattoirs, vivisection-funding charity shops, McDonalds, companies & government departments that conduct, fund or promote vivisection, universities, and even bull-rings!

Please join us, and the many other like-minded groups and individuals around the world by holding a candle-lit vigil or town-centre campaign stall on - or around - International Animal Rights Day 2007 to demonstrate the need for animals to be afforded fundamental rights. See our review of the events that took place in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Please email Max Newton at max@uncaged.co.uk if you would like to help with any of the above events.
